Mayor Update

I finally got a call back from the Mayor. In fact, it happened the same day that I had my ghost experience. So, since I was busy when he called, he left a message. The message was very polite and to the point. He mentioned that he lived in my area and could assure me that he was taking it very seriously. He agreed that the school zone along with other issues need to be resolved. He has spoke with the school twice in regards to the congestion in the area. He also said that he would be forwarding my letter to the Chief of Police here in Homestead. I guess the squeaky wheel does get the oil. I was very pleased that he contacted me. Of course, it was after I send two identical letters to him. LOL Guess he was either busy during the holidays or thought it would go away. Not this squeaky wheel. I love a good challenge and I am determined to do something about this school zone. I sometimes get involved and then forget, but not with this. I see these kids everyday and I know that if I drop the ball, someone will eventually get hit by a car. I just can't stand the idea of this so I will push on and keep an eye on what happens.
