It never fails

So last night we decide that we will be watching the Republican debates. Why you ask? Because my bf is a registered Republican. Ok...I say, we will watch it. So before the debates even start, he decides that he want to ask me one simple (LOL) question. "How do you look at Republicans?" Ugh....well....ummmm.... I think they are only concerned about rich people and could give a shit less about the lower income people. Now just a little back story here. I have NEVER been interested in politics. My personal opinion is that they are all crooks. In 2008, I registered to vote and I did. I voted for who I thought in my opinion would be a good leader. Again, not knowing anything about politics. Now I truly wish I would have never got involved. Yes, that is sad to say. Reason it is sad is simple. I am not respected in this house for my opinion. There is a constant fight between us in this regard. It never fails. If I don't agree with the bf then there is a big stink about it. I am told that my opinion is always wrong cause I don't have the facts. Here is my understanding of the word opinion. It is mine and I am entitled to it whether or not someone agrees with me. He goes on to state that Democrats don't know anything. LOL Isn't that his opinion.....yes! Do I tell him he is wrong, NO! But yet, because he is Republican, he is right. I hate this whole party thing. Why can't we just make politics work for everyone. I know that is difficult because people are so different from each other. That is one of the joys of being human, we are all different. So why when I express my view am I always WRONG????? On a side note, my personal opinion is that we need to get politicians out of there and put in a business person. Any who.....we have been good about not discussing politics for this reason, but now with elections in a year or so away, I have the feeling its going to get worse. UGH!!!!! Why doesn't he get it, we don't have to agree on everything in order to have a happy relationship. He thinks that if I don't agree with him that it is a problem for us. How is this even sane? He wants a drone to be his gf, not an individual. Pfffffttttt! Not here sweetheart, this woman is not submissive to her man in that respect. LOL I have my own brain and my own beliefs, no one will change that! Plus isn't that what attracts people to each other?
